Since hidden advertising for supposedly "wonderful" hyaluronic acid enhancement treatments in Düsseldorf recently ran on the "jungle camp" celebrity reality show, we feel it necessary to set the record straight here:
Penis girth enhancement with hyaluronic acid is not permanent, because hyaluronic acid is a naturally occurring, biodegradable material. Over time, the body breaks hyaluronic acid down through enzymes, in particular the enzyme hyaluronidase. This breakdown process is a natural part of how the body recycles substances and removes old or damaged components.
Beyond the disadvantages listed below, our experience shows that the result is often unattractive: because the hyaluronic acid is a liquid subjected to the mechanical stresses of sexual activity, it shifts unevenly and quite often forms nodules under the skin. Removing it is then relatively costly, and a wound cavity remains.
As a general rule, you should be cautious whenever something is marketed as a "new" method for penis enlargement with a lot of glowing praise, even though it has actually existed for more than 15 years – and a highly experienced centre like ours does not perform it, precisely because of the poor results and the fact that it has to be repeated over and over again.
Of course, as a patient it may sound very tempting when someone offers an inexpensive enhancement that only takes a few minutes. But please ask yourself seriously: do you believe in miracles in medicine? Especially miracles that you have to pay for yourself?
Why Penis Girth Enhancement with Hyaluronic Acid Is Not Permanent
- Biodegradability of hyaluronic acid: hyaluronic acid is designed to be gradually broken down by the body. Depending on individual metabolic rate and lifestyle habits (such as smoking or alcohol consumption), this breakdown process can proceed at very different speeds.
- Distribution and resorption: after injection, the hyaluronic acid spreads through the surrounding tissue. Part of the volume is also gradually broken down and resorbed through the body's natural movement and blood flow.
- Physical activity and metabolism: people with a fast metabolism or a high level of physical activity can break down hyaluronic acid more quickly. This is because a higher metabolic rate leads to faster renewal of cells and tissue, including the breakdown of injected substances.
- Immune response: the body can also respond to the hyaluronic acid injection with a mild immune reaction, which can accelerate the breakdown of the injected material.
Because of these factors, the injection needs to be regularly refreshed in order to maintain the desired increase in girth.
