Why Private Medical Treatment – Even Though the Penile Implant Can Be a Statutory-Insurance Benefit
Given an appropriate medical indication, a penile implant is generally a benefit covered by statutory health insurance in Germany. Anyone who opts for implantation through their statutory health insurer is entitled to treatment – but not to a specific surgeon.
UGRS provides private medical services exclusively. Choosing Prof. Fraile Poblador – one of only a handful of officially certified proctors worldwide for Boston Scientific, Coloplast, and Promedon – means deliberately opting for a level of experience that cannot be guaranteed within the statutory system. The outcome of a penile implant depends to a large degree on the surgeon's precision. Patients live with this outcome for decades.
